The River Arts District began as an artist community in 1985 when the business Highwater Clays moved into the area. The then run down area has grown to over 150 participating artists and several restaurants, businesses and shops. At the back of my building is the Wedge Brewing Company, a popular spot for an end of the day brew and a new restaurant that will open its doors this spring. I am loving being all mixed up in the hub bub of the neighborhood.........meeting fellow artists and some quite interesting visitors that come through. I hope you'll stop in if you are in Asheville. I would just love that!
